The gratitude of a mother

May I ask why you are here today?

First of all, I am here today because I’m grateful to God. I asked for an application, and thanks to God it was approved. That is why I am here today because they called me to come pick up the financial assistance from the application. Very well.

May I ask how the last three months have been for you and your family?

Very difficult. Very difficult, both economically and morally. There was a time when I was a little scared. I am a woman who prays to God hoping something will change, but it’s difficult times. More than anything, we have to pray to God so He may help us overcome all of this and make us all healthy.

Thank you. I would like to ask you the last question, but it requires some context. We are an organization that is still growing and we need support, but we also need credibility. We need people to say that we are having an impact on the community. To people with means who are considering supporting us, what would you tell them?

Well, firstly, to all those people who help this organization, I want to give you my thanks, and to say may God bless you and multiply your blessings. It’s a very humanitarian gesture that you all want to help us and I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart. May God continue blessing your family in your homes.

And to the people considering donating?

To the people considering donating, I ask God to give peace to your heart so that you may continue donating all your donations that reach our homes because we truly need them, and may God keep promising you with more gifts, in your thoughts and in your prayers.

Thank you so much for your time. That’s all.
